About Your Waxer

Hi, I’m Rosie — the waxer, studio designer, playlist curator, and the person behind every detail at Rosie’s Beauty Lounge. I’ve always wanted my studio to feel like a little world of its own: warm, nostalgic, a tiny bit cinematic, and very “me.” Think Wes Anderson meets a cozy vintage apartment, with soft lighting, calm energy, and a space where people immediately feel taken care of.

I love waxing because it blends precision, ritual, and connection. Brows are my favorite — they’re strangely intimate and expressive. And Brazilian services take trust, which I never take lightly. I care a lot about comfort and safety, and I’m particular about sanitation, tools, and creating an experience that feels grounding instead of rushed.

I’m a sensory person, so the lighting, music, colors, and atmosphere matter just as much as the service itself. I wanted my studio to feel like a place where clients can breathe for a minute — not sterile, not chaotic, but calm, quirky, and genuinely warm. Most of my clients are Millennials, and I love when they ask me for old-lady/big-sis advice while we catch up on life.

Outside of work, I’m usually hanging out with my pug Carl (who has chewed up far too many AirPods), working on playlists, rearranging my studio décor for the hundredth time, or hunting for vintage-inspired uniforms and shoes. I’m into retro aesthetics, dream-pop music, polka dots, and anything soft and intentional. I also heart lavender oat milk lattes, and I have a whole side-interest in mysterious, spooky, ghost-y, and unexplained things — I was even once interviewed for a Bigfoot podcast, which is one of my favorite fun facts.

I built this space with a lot of care — for the clients I have, the clients I haven’t met yet, and the ones who’ve trusted me for years. If you book with me, you’ll get someone who genuinely wants you to feel comfortable, safe, and like you kind of have your life together by the time you leave.

Rosie’s Beauty Lounge is an inclusive,

 safe, welcoming place, and that is why it attracts the kindest, sweetest clients. 

One cool thing about owning your own business and working for yourself is that you get to choose and carefully curate your client list.

What this means is that I treat my clients with respect & expect the same.

I want only the best, warmest, safest energy in the salon. For this reason, I reserve the right to refuse service to any client who would not be a good fit for the space.
